Source: Newsweek
Ivanka Trumps long-anticipated speech at the World Assembly for Women in Japan failed to draw in crowds, according to reporters that attended the event.
Several who attended the final day of the three-day symposium described the room as half empty when the first daughter and advisor to the president arrived accompanied by Japans Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who invited her to deliver a speech on womens participation in the economy.
Trump arrived in Japan Thursday, ahead of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump's visit to the country as part of an Asia tour.
Her speech came at a sensitive time in which several companies in the U.S. and in the rest of the worldincluding the British parliamentare confronted with allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault in the workplace. The social media hashtag #MeToo allowed women to discuss their experiences and trauma in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

(14,532 posts)Who wants to hear someone speak about women's empowerment whose own father said she was a piece of ass, he'd date her, the "greb them by the p*, and so on. Her brother has said if a woman is sexual harassed in the work place, they should just "find a new job"
She is an enabler, not a voice for women.

phony-as-fuck, breathless, 'finishing school' voice?
Daddy already previewed how special she is by telling the world he'd like to date her and she's a nice piece of ass.
(Jesus...I can't believe that any of this is happening. We are living a nightmare.)

(5,101 posts)Doesn't she have an advisor to tell her how to wear appropriatly ?
She is supposed to be an official representing a country. Not a whore who forgot an appointment and who have put on the first piece of fabric he could get her hands on.

(13,043 posts)that ridiculous above the knee skirt is inappropriate. Good that many of the japanese women aren't too thrilled with hearing a perp's daughter speak and chose better ways to spend their time.
