Ivanka Trump Spoke About Women's Empowerment In Japan And Hardly Anyone Showed Up

Source: Newsweek

Ivanka Trump’s long-anticipated speech at the World Assembly for Women in Japan failed to draw in crowds, according to reporters that attended the event.

Several who attended the final day of the three-day symposium described the room as “half empty” when the first daughter and advisor to the president arrived accompanied by Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who invited her to deliver a speech on women’s participation in the economy.

Trump arrived in Japan Thursday, ahead of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump's visit to the country as part of an Asia tour.

Her speech came at a sensitive time in which several companies in the U.S. and in the rest of the world—including the British parliament—are confronted with allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault in the workplace. The social media hashtag #MeToo allowed women to discuss their experiences and trauma in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

Go home and play with your beautiful little children. It seems more likely, daily that their world is going to change. Go do something, light and fun for them.

"As the first daughter goes around touting herself as a champion of women," Sarah Newell, a representative for International Labor Rights Forum told Newsweek, "women are literally facing abusive conditions as they stitch her [name] into her products, and they aren’t being provided a structure where they can advocate for themselves."

Who wants to hear someone speak about women's empowerment whose own father said she was a piece of ass, he'd date her, the "greb them by the p*, and so on. Her brother has said if a woman is sexual harassed in the work place, they should just "find a new job"

She is an enabler, not a voice for women.

But she IS responsible for the working conditions of the people she pays. She can stipulate in the contract or find better vendors, that would be enabling women.

After all, who wouldn't want to wait in line for HOURS to hear the spoiled Princess spout endless bullshit in her
phony-as-fuck, breathless, 'finishing school' voice?

Daddy already previewed how special she is by telling the world he'd like to date her and she's a nice piece of ass.

(Jesus...I can't believe that any of this is happening. We are living a nightmare.)

Doesn't she have an advisor to tell her how to wear appropriatly ?

She is supposed to be an official representing a country. Not a whore who forgot an appointment and who have put on the first piece of fabric he could get her hands on.

that ridiculous above the knee skirt is inappropriate. Good that many of the japanese women aren't too thrilled with hearing a perp's daughter speak and chose better ways to spend their time.
