'I'm the only one that matters': Trump disregards State Department's unfilled positions

Source: Business Insider

President Donald Trump addressed the current state of the State Department, long rumored to have a number of critical unfilled positions, during an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Thursday night.

"So we don't need all the people that they want," Trump said. "Don't forget, I'm a businessperson and I tell my people, 'Where you don't need to fill slots don't fill them. But we have some people that I'm not happy with there.

In June, the State Department was reportedly performing an internal review that could have seen a 30% budget cut and eliminate 2,300 jobs. Foreign policy experts at the time decried the move, saying that it could drastically set back US foreign policy efforts in volatile regions of the world.

"The one that matters is me," Trump continued. "I'm the only one that matters because when it comes to it, that's what the policy is going to be. You've seen that, you've seen it strongly."

Which one of those French kings said the same thing?
That's right, it was Louis Fourteenth.

It just struck me that if Queen Elizabeth II lives to be as old as her mother, her reign will surpass that of Louis XIV. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

And despite being called "le Roi Solei", he was not good at all.

Some historians see him as the gravedigger of the French Monarchy. Or at least, the one who undermined it. His great great son Louis XV, was as worse as him and precipitated the declines.

Louis XVI had his head cut but he didn't deserve it. In fact, he was not bad but surpassed by events. He tried to rectify things but it was too late.

Marie-Antoinette and him were the perfect scapegoats...

Well, Trump can breath : he will not shortened...even if he deserves it.

There were stories of people swooning in his presence, overcome by the splendor of His Majesty. In reality, historians say they fainted because he stank so badly. He never took a bath because he believed the Royal Skin should not be touched by soap and water. There’s a reason the French are good at perfume-making.

That is one of the most egregious things that came out of Cleveland last summer and it is so completely ignored by the "patriots" on the right. Sickening.

Imagine the outrage if Van Jones or President Obama had simply raised a fist...and look at the faux-outrage about NFL players. Systemic racism? No question about that... Apparently it is also endemic to republicans, and we get more proof constantly.

It reveals how he feels about himself and why he acts the way he does. It is so revealing that it practically screams, “I am a raging narcissist, hear me roar!”

It should strike a note of fear in the heart of everyone who hears him say that. Unfortunately, the people who can save us from this madman will laugh it off or explain it away (he didn’t mean it literally). Instead of realizing we are way past the last straw with tRump, they will ignore it and move along to something else. They will tell us we need to stop fretting about the small details and get back to business — like the Cut, Cut, Cut legislation that is, by design, mainly going to benefit the rich. The rest of us can go jump in a lake...that is until the next election, when we are their best friends.

I am so sickened by the games that are going on in DC and the way we, the people, have been marginalized right out of existence. I hope when Mueller gets finished he has swept up a large number of the assholes who have enabled tRump to be where he is. Attention is focused on how tRump is ruining the country. But never ever forget, he is not doing that all by himself. He has quite a few enablers right down the street from the White House. When tRump gets frog marched off to the Big House, he needs a parade of those “helpers” to go with him. Are you listening Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell?
