House Republicans are postponing release of their much-anticipated tax bill, as key details have yet to be finalized congressional sources said Tuesday. The rollout is now set to take place Thursday instead of Wednesday.
House Ways and Means Committee members spent all Tuesday holed up in conference rooms trying to iron out last-minute disagreements. Senior committee staff worked through the night Monday and were expected to do the same on Tuesday.
House Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) often says Republicans have spent more than half a decade working on their tax bill. But not 24 hours before the bills big reveal, lawmakers had yet to settle on one of the most sensitive questions of all: How to pay for their proposed $5.5 trillion in tax cuts, since any major revenue-generator is certain to antagonize some powerful lobby or group of lawmakers who could defeat it.
Our plan is to release the bill tomorrow, Brady told reporters Tuesday afternoon, leaving himself some wiggle room. Asked if Wednesdays release would be legislative text, Brady responded: When we release the bill, it will be text.

(19,202 posts)for the key lies to be finalized? The key bullshit to be finalized? They certainly don't mean "details", because there are no redeeming details in this pile of shit give-away to the rich!
What assholes. Their coveted "tax plan" will never pass either. Not the way it's been written. There are even some Democrats who will vote for corporate tax restructure, but none of them, and even some Republicans aren't going to vote for a massive give-away to the wealthy, and spiraling out-of-control deficits.
Trump's first term will pass without completing any of his campaign promises, even with a Republican majority in both houses of Congress. THAT........IS.......PITIFUL! Even for a lying scumbag like Trump.
