Trump says he did not "specifically" authorize Niger mission

Source: CBS News

President Trump told reporters Wednesday he did not "specifically" authorize the mission in Niger that left four soldiers dead, as he gave a wide-ranging impromptu press conference outside the White House with reporters before departing for Dallas.

The Niger mission has come under increasing scrutiny, as questions linger about how four U.S. soldiers died in the ambush. Asked if he authorized that mission that has drawn an intense level, Mr. Trump said, "No I didn't. Not specifically. But I have generals that are great generals, great fighters, these are warriors." This week, Mr. Trump has continued to grapple with the fallout from his call to the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, one of the four soldiers who died.

1. Donnie blames some other group or entity for something entirely his fault...

2. Other person/group denies it and the media spends a week on the he said/he said game

3. Some other bit of news pushes it off the front page and Trump skates without ever admitting a mistake or accepting responsibility

Or if you're Donald Trump, blame somebody, anybody else.

What the hell does that mean, he didn't "specifically" authorize the mission? Did he know about it? If so and he said nothing to forbid it, he authorized it. Specifically.

Can the CinC be court martialed for dereliction of duty?

Trump says he knows more then the generals.

All that spare time playing golf when he could have been planning missions and not killing soldiers by assigning less qualified underlings to the task of mission planning.

Only difference is Benghazi was a republican HS false flag plus the fault of republicans for cutting funds for security at embassies.

Which I believe they did on purpose so when Americans were attacked and killed they could blame it on President Obama.

Niger is very real which is why Donny Bone Spur is trying to weasel out of his complicity in it already.

I await the coming years and years of investigation and exposé on Fox news about this horrendous folly of Twitler.

of course

He didn't even know we had troops in Niger...usually the president doesn't authorize every single mission. Idiot.

I'd really like it if they stopped calling him President, they couldn't be bothered to call President Obama president. They only called him Obama, rarely heard him call him President Obama.

he is 100% responsible for the Niger mission. That also means he'll blame everyone else before accepting one iota of responsibility. For Trump, that's par for the course.
