San Juan Mayor: Trump lives in 'alternative reality world'

The mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Friday blasted President Trump for giving himself a "10" for his administration's recovery efforts on the island, accusing the president on Friday of living in a "fantasy world."

In an interview on CNN's "New Day," Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz was asked directly whether she agreed with Trump's assessment that his administration scored a perfect "10" for relief efforts.

"Well, if it is a 10 out of a scale of 100, of course. It is still a failing grade," Cruz said Friday. "FEMA personnel has admitted that they don't have the generators they need to provide to hospitals, so hospitals are still running on inappropriate generators, even though FEMA had mentioned that the generators would be here."

"FEMA representatives have admitted that they really haven't been able to canvass [more than about] two percent of the people who have lost the roofs in their homes," she continued.

I think that "nightmare" or "demonic" world would be more appropriate.

But I take her point, and salute her compassionate and selfless efforts for her citizens.

truth to power like she does.

He had his chance when trump asked him point blank about the quality of the admin's aid effort to PR.

He seemed clearly intimidated and did not rise to the occasion for his constituents, instead he figuratively bowed down to trump and agreed he did a good job.

Pitiful.
