#ENVIRONMENT OCTOBER 3, 2017 / 7:08 PM / UPDATED 10 MINUTES AGO

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House is preparing a $29 billion disaster aid request to send to the U.S. Congress after hurricanes hit Puerto Rico, Texas and Florida, a White House official said on Tuesday.

The request is expected to come on Wednesday. It will combine nearly $13 billion in new relief for hurricane victims with $16 billion for the government-backed flood insurance program, the White House official told Reuters.

in Paris, Berlin, Tokyo and wherever the f*ck he wants where he'll say a 30 sec prayer for the poor people in trouble and then blame them for living there in the first place.

With this administration, any reconstruction efforts will make Russian or Brazilian public works contracts look like Sweden's.

The article says that most of the money is for Texas and Florida. That doesn't make any sense to me.

In fact, the entire point of the money doesn't make sense to me. It's money for the victims. Where is the money to rebuild the infrastructure? The roads? The electric lines?

Very confused.

Divert 50% of the DoD funds to the hurricane relief funds. If Rump doesn't like that, then tie the funds to his personal assets and immediately begin selling off his golf courses - starting with the NJ location at a cheap prices.
