Here's what we know so far

• At least two people have been killed and 24 others wounded after a gunman opened fire at an open-air country music festival at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
• 14 of the wounded are in "a critical condition", according to a spokeswoman for the University Medical Center hospital.
• The shooting took place at around 22:30 (05:30 GMT) on Sunday.
• Hundreds of people fled the scene where the sound of what appeared to be prolonged automatic gunfire could be heard.
• Police say one suspect is "down".
• Flights have been diverted from Las Vegas McCarran airport while the incident continues.

What we know about the suspect: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said one suspect has been killed; they don't believe there are any other shooters. Police said they are also seeking a woman they named as Marilou Danley, described as a companion of the suspect.

The guy the right is claiming to be the shooter is.I went to his Facebook page.it says he lives in Fayetteville ARK.the police said he was a area resident.the police never said the woman was his wife.

and they reported that the police indicated that the shooter "was a local" but the police were not yet releasing the name of the individual. Am also streaming a local LV news station that was posted in GD.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said police shot and killed the suspect on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. He was described as a local resident, and was described as the “sole aggressor” in the shooting.

Lombardo said police are seeking his companion, Marilou Danley.
