Trump Administration Won't Promise To Fix Puerto Rico's Infrastructure

NEWS PUERTO RICO CRISIS SEP 29 2017, 1:49 PM ET

by JULIA AINSLEY

WASHINGTON — Despite the widespread damage to Puerto Rico's infrastructure inflicted by Hurricane Maria, the federal government is making no promises to fix it.

President Donald Trump cast doubt Friday on whether Washington would lend a hand to repair the island, and a spokesman for the Federal Emergency Management Agency told NBC News that administrators want to assess the damage before committing to fixing public infrastructure in the ravaged U.S. territory.

"The fact is that Puerto Rico has been destroyed by two hurricanes. Big decisions will have to be made as to the cost of its rebuilding!" Trump said in an early morning Tweet. Later Friday, during a speech on tax policy, Trump said, "Ultimately, the government of Puerto Rico will have to work with us to determine how this massive rebuilding effort…will be funded." Trump said the effort "will end up being one of the biggest ever” and noted that Puerto Rico already had “a tremendous amount of debt."

The presidential disaster declaration for Texas after Hurricane Harvey included a promise of federal funds to cover up to 75 percent of the costs to repair "damaged public facilities" including roads, bridges and schools.

he will implement it immediately. If there's not a substantial profit to be made, he'd let them die. Funny thing is, if he does that, tons of Puerto Ricans will move to FL and they vote Dem. Of course, this truly isn't funny, it's so sad that our president is not on the job for the people of this country, he's on it for himself, other ultra rich, and Russia only.

so that predatory 1%-ers can swoop in, scoop up anything of value, and force the residents into virtual serfdom as a condition of having power and water again.

since 1917, you do know what it means to be a protectorate right, here let me explain it to you by google:

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/protectorate

They are American Citizens asshole, these human beings in Puerto Rico's and U.S. Virgin Island are U.S. citizens asshole and they pay pay taxes, there are men and woman asshole that are in the service of the United States from these two protectorate states.

The mainland asshole has a tremendous amount of debt also, have you by chance seen the credit card debt based on a fucking 17 year war called Afghanistan you piece of traitorous shit.

We have the same corporations that bankrupted this island state asshole, because fucking hedge funds and banks, asshole, the same ones that broke this country in 2008 and forced the taxpayers in this country to pay 800 billion of there fucking shit derivatives, and then turned right around the same fucking firms like they did to Greece, lent money and fucked the people and the country and then when the economy took a shit they demanded money, and they have, asshole.

These are same fucking banks and hedge funds and the same corporations that have damned near bankrupt this country because they don't pay there taxes, but they use everything that taxpayers pay for asshole, just like they did on these islands, they use and abuse, just like you do and your fucking cronies..................so FUCK YOU.

I could go on with this rant-------------but your a traitorous piece of shit

He's letting Americans suffer & die because they're not white. I wish Mueller would hurry with his investigation, so we can get a President that actually gives a shit about American lives.
