At Air Force Academy, Black Students Told to Go Home

Source: MSN/Newsweek

The U.S. Air Force Academy is currently investigating an incident of racial slurs written on the dormitory message boards of five black cadets at the Air Force Academy Preparatory School earlier this week.

Lieutenant Colonel Allen Heritage, director of public affairs for the academy, told Air Force Times the slurs were discovered Monday after one of the cadet’s mother’s posted a photo to Facebook on Wednesday that shows a white board with the words “go home n***** on it. The post has since been removed.

“This is why I’m so hurt!” the mother said. “These young people are supposed to bond and protect each other and the country. Who would my son have to watch out for? The enemy or the enemy?”

Lieutenant General Jay Silveria, superintendent of the academy released a statement Thursday condemning the slurs. “There is absolutely no place in our Air Force for racism,” Silveria said. “It’s not who we are, nor will we tolerate it in any shape or fashion. The Air Force Academy strives to create a climate of dignity and respect for all.... Period.... Those who don’t understand that are behind the power curve and better catch up.”

I am sure Brother Pretentious, Cornell West would still double down on his decision to support Jill Stein after serving on the DNC policy committee even as Trump's influence reaches into the military.

Sorry, I would much rather hear: "..there will be a full investigation and when we find who did this they will be expelled. You can either wait for us to find you and expel you or you can resign now. There are no other options."

12. This is not a prep school like the name implies. "Students" are Air Force enlisted men and women.

Those in the reserves are placed on active duty for the duration of their training. Like all military personnel, they are subject to the UCMJ.

You don't resign an enlistment like a commission or cadet/midshipmen appointment. All military are subject to administrative discharges. Enlisted personnel, in the event of a court martial, may receive two levels of punitive discharge, Bad Conduct or Dishonorable.

Officers, cadets and midshipman have only one punitive discharge, Dismissal, which carries the same provisions as a Dishonorable Discharge for enlisted personnel. There are provisions to dismiss officers, cadets & midshipman with a court martial, but other then in wartime, an officer may demand trial by court martial and cannot subsequently be dismissed without a guilty verdict.

11. Dunno. Cornell West Served on DNC Platform Committee...
Thu Sep 28, 2017, 09:46 PM
Sep 2017

...a lot of Bernie's proposals get incorporated into the DNC platform, then he loudly declares that he is going with Jill Stein?

Also, back in 2015, Trump was not exactly an unknown, yet West hails him as "authentic." There are some folks on the fringe who belong on the fringe and Brother Pretentious is one of them. Cornell made a living relentlessly attacking President Obama and perhaps he enjoyed being in the spotlight as someone from the left who could call President Obama a n*****r without serious repercussion.

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/cornel-west-on-cnn-obama-is-americas-first-nggerized-president/

So, perhaps Cornell West thought that Act II would be to earn media appearances attacking Sister Hillary from the left by calling her neo-this and neo-that. In the end, Cornell West became a caricature who pushed division among the left, and even if was not on the Russian payroll (doubt it), his screeds were happily used by those who wished to undermine the legitimacy of our Democracy.

I have heard that the code of conduct at the USAFA requires that members who know of a wrong doing by another member turn them in to authorities. I’ll bet these racists cadets will soon be on some town’s police force.

white controlled and white privileged Americans, on the left and right, will never get it.

No hate speech laws? Then what can be done?

Who will be the first to claim they disagree with the racist cadets but will defend their right to be racist with their lives? Anyone?

17. Racist Messages at Air Force Academy Prep School Dorm Written by Targeted Black Student
Wed Nov 8, 2017, 12:26 PM
Nov 2017
This week, the academy confirmed to news outlets that the person responsible for the racist messages was one of the cadet candidates who allegedly had been victimized.

"We can confirm that one of the cadet candidates who was allegedly targeted by racist remarks written outside of their dorm room was actually responsible for the act. The individual admitted responsibility and this was validated by the investigation," the academy told The Associated Press in a statement.

The statement continued: "Racism has no place at the academy, in any shape or form."

The Colorado Springs Gazette reported the cadet candidate deemed responsible for the incident was not publicly identified, but is no longer enrolled at the school. The Gazette also reported that several unnamed sources told the paper the accused candidate "committed the act in a bizarre bid to get out of trouble he faced at the school for other misconduct."

It was reported today that one of the black students wrote the slurs on his own and the other black students' dorm room doors. He has been removed from the Academy since he admitted to perpetrating the hoax.
