Two senior Democrats condemned President Donald Trump on Monday for retweeting a doctored meme of a golf ball hitting Hillary Clinton.
Every one of us should be offended by the vindictive and candidly dangerous messages the president sends that demean not only Secretary Clinton, but all women," Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said in a blistering statement. Feinstein, a four-term incumbent, concluded that it was time for the president to grow up and do your job. The senator has faced recent criticism from some of her constituents for being too soft on the president on issues like immigration.
The tweet in question was one of a series of internet memes the president retweeted on his account early Sunday. The gif showed the president swing his club, sending a golf ball flying into the former secretary of state and causing her to fall.
Hours after Feinstein issued her statement, former Vice President Joe Biden chided Trump on Twitter, writing that it was long past time for the president to stop using social media in such a manner. Enough, he tweeted. This has to stop. Our children are watching.

The president set off a new political controversy yesterday when he retweeted the fan video along with several posts from anonymous Twitter accounts with objectionable online histories. While Trump defenders have said the tweet was all in good fun, critics are slamming the president for not acting more dignified and signaling approval for hitting women.

(61,703 posts)I can't believe - wait, I can - that people think this is wrong because "not dignified." That kind of thinking leads to "all in good fun" and other normalizing rationalizations.
Wrong. Violence as a joke is wrong. Violence against political opponents is wrong. It's the behavior of sociopaths and fascists.
Drumpf is ok'ing men physically hitting any woman who gets in their way, giggling at violence against women. He hates all women that aren't "fluffing" him currently.
