Last week, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders leveled three threats against fired FBI Director James Comey. Now, a ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee has issued threats of his own.
The three torpedoes Huckabee Sanders shot at James Comey, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) said on MSNBCs Hardball, have opened up a new avenue in the case for [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller.
Citing an obstruction of justice statue, Whitehouse said that her threats from the press secretary podium could be considered a means to influence grand juries in Muellers probe.
Sso the question of Sarah Huckabee Sanders is who asked you to do that, who told you to do that? Whitehouse continued. If the motivation was to poison the reputation of James Comey with the grand jurors, you have another indictment.

I wonder if Sarah will comment on Comey again after reading this. And, I do not think she did this on her own. In other words, someone was telling her comment on Comey. Just my gut opinion.

(19,460 posts)I wish just once she would talk like a human being, lose the potato sack and wear some real clothes and get rid of those false eyelashes. False eyelashes look really nice on many women but on her they just look horrible.

(27,818 posts)... even after all that's gone down with this "administration" so far, that every time they try to deflect attention away from themselves, they manage to dig themselves deeper into the investigation hole.
This is really you can't make this shit up territory.
And the thing is you just know that every time they hatch one of these little look over there schemes, they're convinced that it's going to work to take the heat off - even though it's accomplished the opposite every single time they've tried it.

(5,730 posts)Why is it that Repubs think they are exempt from the rules & law? They just make shit up and send it out with talking points.

(5,737 posts)This used to be a position where an individual would report and interpret the positions of the White House. Now all it is is being a mouthpiece for the president. It has become the bullhorn of a propaganda machine. While in the past the press secretary always tried to make the White House look good, it was at least not apparent that they were reading from some sort of prepared script. In order to fill this position now you have to very much sell your soul and do as you're told.

(9,426 posts)just about EVERYTHING has changed. We have a raving man/child in the WH and someone with lots of $$$ is pulling all the strings. Is it Vlad, or an American multi millionaire? Imagine if Hillary had put Chelsea into an office at the WH, with permission to walk in on any meeting? The gop would be screaming. Ivanka, with no experience in politics whatsoever, is taking a leading role in the administration. Who the HELL does she think she is?

(1,459 posts)Sanders just looks offended that anyone had the gall to ask a non-conforming question.
It's like she doesn't have the sense or intelligence to be ashamed.
