White House: Trump Will 'Absolutely' Sign Joint Resolution On Charlottesville

Source: Talking Points Memo

By NICOLE LAFOND Published SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 2:51 PM

President Donald Trump is “absolutely” planning to sign a resolution condemning hate groups, the White House said Wednesday, after both the Senate and the House passed a resolution in the wake of a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The measure formally condemns the acts of the white supremacists that gathered in Charlottesville last month to protest the removal of a Confederate statue. The rally ended in violence when a man affiliated with the white supremacists allegedly drove his car through a crowd of counter-protesters and killed one woman.

The resolution passed unanimously in the Senate on Monday and cleared the House on Tuesday. A White House spokesperson told Politico that there were “no announcements” on whether Trump would sign the measure when asked about it Tuesday evening. But White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders cleared up any speculation Wednesday.

“The President was clear in his initial statement that he condemned hatred, bigotry, racism of all forms. He continues to stick to that message. He’s been very consistent in that fact,” she said during a press briefing Wednesday. “In terms of whether or not he’ll sign the joint resolution, absolutely, and he looks forward to doing so as soon as he receives it, which he hasn’t done as (of when) I came out here earlier.”

He'll add a caveat that this statement includes "left wing terrorists, the Anti-fa, conflating them with actual terrorists, the KKK, White Surpremists, and Nazis. So were the people who fought on our side in WW11 terrorists because they used violence to stop the Nazis? Seems like it according to orange assface.

"He's been very consistent in that fact"

that's just a fucking lie and it doesn't have to be said. She could have just said yes but she goes on painting a bullshit rosy picture and it infuriates me. like everyone should pretend he never flip flopped and then threw his support behind the nazis. well yes he did, he said what he said. it was recorded on video, live. it's not going to be unsaid just because of your bullshit ms huckabee

her job is to be as much of a sociopath as trump is in order to feed his delusions. i guess what i find really, really disgusting is that i don't believe she really shares those delusions. i could be wrong, she could 1000% into the cult of trump, but i think she knows she's lying and she knows damn well that what she does is harmful to this country.

she does it anyway and then plays pious. no, i can't take her.
