President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump Monday led a moment of silence from the White House on the 16th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
It is the first anniversary of the attacks since Trump became president.
The moment of silence was observed at 8:46 a.m., the time the first plane struck the World Trade Center's North Tower.
Trump Monday will also take part in the observance of Sept. 11 at the Pentagon.

(9,426 posts)consists of moments of "silence" She always looks miserable. Surprised tRump can stay silent for a few moments. Did Ivanka walk in on this, and interrupt? Maybe there were not enough males there to make it worth her while?

(15,223 posts)I'm sorry. I have no love lost for the woman. Every time she's photographed, she looks scowl-faced and mad. She's modeled professionally before and she KNOWS how to make herself look a certain way.
If she's miserable in her marriage she has the means to take care of that situation if that's the case. But she is a poor representation of the United States of America. There is no compassion, no empathy, no caring. That face is just the face of pissed that she has to be there. It wouldn't hurt the woman to actually think about someone else for the sixty seconds of silence for the 09/11 victims.
