BREAKING: Trump Administration To Cut 90% Of Obamacare Outreach Budget

Senior officials at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) told reporters Thursday that the agency will gut its budget for promotion and education of the Affordable Care Act ahead of the first full open enrollment period of the Trump administration.

Last year, the officials said, the Obama administration spend about $100 million on educating Americans about their health insurance choices and urging them to enroll. This year, HHS will spend just $10 million.

Additionally, HHS will severely cut back funding for hundreds of navigator groups across the country who provide in-person assistance to people signing up for health insurance, making the grants conditional on how many people each group signed up last year.

On the call, HHS officials argued that the aggressive outreach and education work the federal government has carried out every year since 2013 is no longer worth fully funding.

because people won't know when deadlines are. They will cite lower enrollment numbers. Fuckers. They'll probably get away with it too.

The fake prez has been emotionally and mentally killing the sane citizens who did not vote for him and he has intentionally been hurting all Americans who value affordable health care. All of this is because Obama made a joke about him and his Birtherism BS during the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner. The man baby is a mean, petty, spiteful fuckface who willingly is allowing people to DIE! So basically he is killing US citizens for spite.

This entire situation.

How can a modern country be so stupid as to let an asshole like this take office?

Everyone knows, or should know, about the ACA by now.

You can also call the individual ins. cos., and they'll give you info. You can call Healthcare.gov, and they'll give you info. The healthcare.gov site also gives a lot of info.

There is still some budget. But it's customary to cut a "get the public educated on this program" budget after a while.

need help with it. It won't be as good as having fully trained people doing it, but at the very least we can do something to make up for the losses. Maybe some folks can do some fundraisers to build up some systems/people who have experience doing it. I'm certain there are already good folks doing just that.
