Trump trolled by Canadian mayor after NAFTA swipe

The mayor of the Canadian city of Hamilton has rushed to the defense of his country after President Donald Trump took a shot at Canada’s trade relations with the U.S.
Trump threatened to terminate the NAFTA deal with Canada and Mexico—the renegotiation of which is causing Mexico and Canada to be “very difficult,” according to the U.S. president.
“The only thing that needs to be terminated is your presidency,” Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger tweeted Sunday, in response to Trump’s own post. “Save yourself and your country. Resign and you will be popular everywhere.”
Canada’s Toronto Star questioned why Trump was engaging in jibes with the U.S.’ only territorial neighbors when at home the state of Texas has been hit by deadly flooding.
