A teen white supremacist who has been obsessed with Nazis since junior high school has been charged in the vicious beating of a black man during the violent rally in Charlottesville, Va.

Daniel Borden, 18, was arrested Friday in connection with the attack on 20-year-old Deandre Harris, authorities said Saturday.

A cellphone video captured a group of white men savagely pounding on Harris with metal flag poles, umbrellas and plastic shields.

Also Saturday, Charlottesville police revealed that an arrest warrant has been issued for Alex Michael Ramos, 33, in the assault of Harris.

The police on Saturday arrested a 52-year-old man wanted for firing a gun during the normally serene college town’s deadly white nationalist rally on Aug. 12.

It is always better to undercharge a little, or people get off. ie Casey Anthony, who should have been charged with child endangerment, but was overcharged because of zealot DAs. Or Zimmerman, who was probably overcharged on purpose.

This is 5-15 years, and there is no way he won't be convicted. And, I really think there will be a hate crime attached. And, then I hope teh victim sues them all in civil court.

States call crimes different names. Have you bothered to look at the VA criminal code?

Unless you'd rather have him walk free because there is no evidence of an intent to kill, then maybe the prosecutors are a little more familiar with how to get a conviction.

Aside from which, this is the charge on which he was arrested. What he is ultimately charged with may be different as further evidence is developed.
