Former CIA Agent Wants to Buy Twitter to Kick Trump Off

WASHINGTON — Former undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson is looking to crowdfund enough money to buy Twitter so President Donald Trump can't use it.

Wilson launched the fundraiser last week, tweeting: "If @Twitter executives won't shut down Trump's violence and hate, then it's up to us. #BuyTwitter #BanTrump." The GoFundMe page for the fundraiser says Trump's tweets "damage the country and put people in harm's way."

As of Wednesday morning, she had raised less than $6,000 of her $1 billion goal.

In an emailed statement, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the low total shows that the American people like the president's use of Twitter.

"Her ridiculous attempt to shut down his first amendment is the only clear violation and expression of hate and intolerance in this equation," the statement read.

This will probably be funded in part like Ralph Nader's campaign, by a lot of Republican billionaires. The Republicans have been trying to get him off Twitter. This would be a dream come true for them.

Twitter is one of our best sources of evidence to get to the 25th or impeachment.

If you take him off Twitter, it takes a lot of pressure off the Republicans, like MM. The voters, including us, lose insight into how crazy he really is.

Now the stock price is about $17 so it's maybe half that.

It made $14k in about 12 hours. At that rate.. and my math might be wrong.. but it seems that at that rate it would take about 100 years to hit $1billion.

Have to see if that rate picks up now that more media is getting it :> It had only made $6k in 7 days before this morning. So if 6k yesterday, 14k today.. that's a hell of a rate of increase. In 10 days, if it's $84k it might be something to watch

I know a shitload of people that got twitter accounts so they could watch the meltdown in real time.

Can you imagine the screaming match that would come from a twitter ban of trump? All the little Trump bots would flee their platform. Trump would be on TV seconds later to decry censorship. Twitter stock would nosedive.

21. the Repubs. president is afraid to tweet on official @POTUS, @White House twitter accounts.

The first couple days he did add the 24 accounts hes followed on personal twitter for years to official accounts. Pointing out some were hate sites got those taken down off government twitter accounts right away.

I wish people tweeted using only the official accounts. IMO, His personal account is a waste of time, spitting in the wind.
