Hillary: My 'Skin Crawled' When 'Creep' Trump Stood Near Me

Source: The Daily Beast

Hillary Clinton’s new memoir about the 2016 presidential election, called What Happened, will reportedly reveal that Trump’s intimidation tactics during the second debate made her “skin (crawl).” She wrote: “What would you do? Do you stay calm, keep smiling and carry on as if he weren't repeatedly invading your space? Or do you turn, look him in the eye and say loudly and clearly: ‘Back up you creep, get away from me. I know you love to intimidate women, but you can't intimidate me, so back up.’” Clinton also shares that she regrets “letting down” the American people when she lost the election. “I couldn't get the job done. And I'll have to live with that for the rest of my life.”

The head of security and I seemed to be on the same break schedule and we talked a lot.

One day she came in pretty irate. A guy was going around behind women and simulating grinding on her. That is what trump reminds me of. If he didn't have his wealth, he would be in a department store following women around and imitating sex acts with them, while their backs were turned.

You think some women in this country aren't programmed to be sexist, just like their fathers, brothers and husbands? Think again! The big story of the 2016 election is how many people voted AGAINST their own interests because of stupidity, racism and sexism.

And I work for an elected official. I have carried nomination petitions for years. I have encountered quite a few men who speak for their wives. The man, a rethug, answers the door. I politely ask for the wife and told she isn't interested in voting. I had a say I'm voting for Trump and tell his wife, you are too and close the door. I've seen women cower when their husbands tell them they aren't allowed to sign.
It's very upsetting. And this is in a suburb of NYC. I can only imagine what it's like in red states.

I have never run across it, and I live in a suburb of Atlanta. Many / most of the women I speak to are more than happy to speak their minds, about politics or whatever.

I know a number of men who vote the way their wife tells them as well.

Red state Women, in my experience, are not some group of meek, kowtowing, submissive, baby rearing dinner cookers most of the people in this thread seem to have bought into.

Wed Aug 23, 2017, 11:06 AM
Aug 2017

The data indicate how deeply divided Americans are by race and gender: 94 percent of black women who voted and 68 percent of Hispanic or Latino female voters chose Hillary Clinton, but 53 percent of all white female voters picked Mr. Trump.

The data can be broken down further: 51 percent of white women with college degrees voted for Mrs. Clinton, while 62 percent of women without one voted for Mr. Trump, a reflection of his success with working-class whites.

(above from the NYTimes)

Trump's support comes from the under educated whites mostly, which makes perfect sense when you actually listened to the buffoon struggle with language, facts and especially truth. His election shows plainly how little the electorate believes our government represents them, and they were absolutely correct, at least in that assumption.
As Clinton represented the established order, and Trump ran as the anti establishment candidate ( a joke, though not very funny now) he got the votes of the fed up, of the despairing, of those who turned a deaf ear to his idiocy, divisiveness, hatred and lack of intellect.
The real reason Trump won over Hillary, in my opinion, even more important than her terrible campaign, was the fact that 93 million eligible voters stayed home, seeing, I guess, no real candidate in the race.

He thought she was too "tough" to be creeped out, and literally accused her of lying... guests tried to explain how weird it is to suddenly be confronted w inappropriate behavior and reactions are vary a lot, but yeah. What a shitty thing for him to say.

I thought she was good because she showed she was steady and unruffled. But people kind of wanted a shit show so maybe her twisting his nose off would have been a good thing. I find it impossible to get in some voters heads. And moreso to trust the press not to ridicule her.

Those who voted for or excused that predator are responsible for his being in the White House. It is they who decided that sexual predation and White Supremacy should be the values of America, because those are their values. The same goes for those who voted for Stein or did some other ratfuck move. Trump is a mirror reflection of their souls, narcissistic and bigoted. They got the America they wanted. An undemocratic movement succeeds in suspending the norms of liberal democracy. They win what can best be called a hybrid system election--not fully democratic. Then the plotters turn on each other, for whatever the reason.

The people side with the guy who is less extreme and make him out to be a true patriot. Kind of like Danton and Robespierre during the French Revolution. That validates the original behavior and makes it OK to do comparable things in the future.

If what Comey did in 2016 was OK then that means it can be done again, in some form, by a future FBI director. And rest assured, it will be.

Christopher Wray seems like a pretty scary guy too.
