Melania Trump thanks Chelsea Clinton for defending Barron
Source: MSN/The Hill
First Lady Melania Trump thanked Chelsea Clinton on Tuesday after the former first daughter launched a plea to the media to keep her son Barron out of negative coverage.
"Thank you Chelsea Clinton - so important to support all of our children in being themselves!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
Clinton, the only child of Bill and Hillary Clinton, defended President Trump's youngest son, arguing he should be left alone to be a child, after the conservative Daily Caller criticized Barron for his casual dress while boarding Air Force One on Sunday.
"It's high time the media and everyone leave Barron Trump alone and let him have the private childhood he deserves," Clinton wrote.

(4,033 posts)I don't care for Melania, but give her a break for a mon trying to thank someone for standing up for her son. Occasionally you get a glimpse of a miniscule bit of humanity poking out.
Thanks.

(17,296 posts)I watched her husbands rally tonight. I watched her gloss over his pussy grabbing comments as boys being boys. I just can't cut her any slack at all. It's human nature to protect your own child. it's decency to protect someone else's child.
Let's just agree to disagree on this one. No doubt we agree on more than we disagree.

(4,033 posts)And I am completely sure that we agree on much, much more than we disagree.
And by the way, many people have told me that respectful disagreement (and even sometimes not so respectful disagreement) is what makes America Great.

I remember feeling very sorry for her. She was tormented relentlessly by the likes of that rush limpball creature and many others.

Edit: And it's gone. Huh, well better that way I guess.

Barron is a tall kid for his age, which can be a plus, but a little angular . He will likely fill out more in the next year or two.
Hope he can hold his own when the inevitable jokes and put-downs occur.

has absolutely no use for INTELLIGENT people. When those intelligent people are BLACK, the gop despises them even more. So, now they have a raging lunatic in the WH, calling it a dump. Seems they are happy with him, since we hear little condemnation of his vile comments. I for one can not wait for the Russian money to dry up, maybe THEN people like Ryan and McConnell will find their spines? As for Maleria, she along with her parents are helping drain our treasury with their many trips. Who ever would have imagined that the day would come when a nude, lesbian "model" would be "first lady" of this country? We have truly scraped the very bottom of the gop barrel.
Yes. I didn't think about when the Russian money dries up. That will be interesting. I wonder how many years it's been poisoning our politics.

engages in pushing Chelsea birtherism, absurdly claiming she isn't Bill Clinton's daughter and has had secret plastic surgery to look like him (because right-wingers are obsessed with crafting fanfics about people's parentage).
This went into Stone's nuts book on Hillary, and Donald endlessly promoted it, telling his fans to go out and buy it.
And Melania said nothing and was fine with it.

(9,426 posts)will stand up for her child. Where is she when other kids are bullied? Where was she when her shithead husband was mocking the reporter with an affliction? The tRumps are experts at taking care of their own, piss on everyone else. I refuse to congratulate this fraud of a "first lady" for doing the right thing - for ONCE.
