Fox News Host Sent Unsolicited Lewd Text Messages To Colleagues, Sources Say
Source: HuffPo
Eric Bolling, a longtime Fox News host, sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia via text message to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News, a dozen sources told HuffPost.
Recipients of the photo confirmed its contents to HuffPost, which is not revealing their identities. The women, who are Bollings current and former Fox colleagues, concluded the message was from him because they recognized his number from previous work-related and informal interactions. The messages were sent several years ago, on separate occasions.

(27,816 posts)and when she shared her story with a group of women, a couple more stories like that surfaced. It's damaging to the women who receive these, too. It's not something you can just brush off. (A number of years ago I was at a bus stop and a guy started rubbing my coat sleeve and when I moved away, he started openly masturbating - I have to tell you that it's been years, and I still get a horrible feeling of unease thinking about it).
This kind of behavior is menacing, and I don't understand what compels people to engage in it.

(15,722 posts)Every psychologist recommends this response. The guy is looking for shock, fear, anger--which makes him dominant and turns him on.
Laughter is totally a surprise. Turn to friends and call loudly, "Hey, look at this."

(17,984 posts)I'm fine with them picking on Faux Nooze to drive them under, but it raises the question of how often this happens. I mean, really. Why would this be a "thing" in the first place? Are women supposed to get a thrill and want to have sex with someone who does this, or are these guys showing their dominance?

When my now-27 yr old son was about 12, he asked me if women were as interested in looking at penises as men were in looking at breasts. I didn't have a really good answer for him, given that he was only 12 and, IMO, too young for the "form versus function" idea. I just said, "Probably not."

(24,018 posts)...and still does. When he was 8, he wanted to invent a time machine for the specific purpose of going back to see what color dinosaur skins really were. It bugged the heck out of him that no one really knew because the skin didn't survive the fossilization process. He didn't, and still doesn't, like questions that don't have answers.

(24,018 posts)...different things since finishing college in Dec 2012. He spent about 3 years working for a fortune 500 pharmaceutical company (one of the "good guys, happy to say) in their customer service and admin areas. He learned an enormous amount about how businesses and finance work while there. Took maximum advantage of all the fringe benefits.
His abiding passion is soccer and physical fitness. He is about to start his second season as the assistant coach for the women's soccer team at small private D3 college in the greater Chicago area, where he has a full time job in their "institutional development" department - aka alumni fund raising. He is studying to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist, plans to start taking master's classes this January, which he can do for free as an employee of the college, and wants to have his own business, at least on the side, in fitness and health.
He has a ferocious memory, wide ranging curiosity, and has amassed about $100,000 in assets already - he got a sweet 19 week severance package from the corporation he worked for for 3 years when they were bought out, and spent almost none of it.
To top it off, he plays the piano very well. And he looks rather like a cross between Davis Beckham and Ryan Gosling.
OK - mom brag over.

...Bolling, a former commodities trader, has worked at the Fox News and Fox Business networks since 2007, when he joined after leaving CNBC. He has had a history of making misogynistic on-air remarks during his tenure at Fox News, the most notable during a September 2014 segment on the panel show The Five while discussing the first woman fighter pilot from the United Arab Emirates leading the bombing of the Islamic State. Bolling asked on air if instead of saying boots on the ground it would be more appropriate to say boobs on the ground. He apologized the next day, citing a look he got from his wife when he arrived home.
