Sarah Palin coming to Omaha area for Mom's March, a response to Women's Marches
Source: Omaha World Herald
By Roseann Moring
Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be in the Omaha area to headline a Sept. 23 event aimed at helping women and mothers realize how much cultural power they have.
Other speakers scheduled for the Moms March for America at the Ralston Arena include Candy Carson, the wife of Ben Carson, secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and a 2016 presidential candidate; Duck Dynasty star Missy Robertson; actress and radio talk show host Sam Sorbo; and country band Redhead Express.
Organizer Kimberly Fletcher, the president and founder of Homemakers for America, said she wants the cultural march to counteract what she says is radical feminist messaging.
Fletchers group is partnering with conservative, faith-based and constitutional advocacy groups for the event. Organizers have cast it as opposite in many ways from the January Womens Marches around the country.

(6,932 posts)Is that when a bunch of them there uppity females want equal pay or rights?? Yes,something DOES need to be done to tamp down those feelings and Palin is just that person to do it.
Guessing hubby will have to look this whole "marching" thing over and approve before his Stepford wife is allowed out of the house on that date.

(33,400 posts)if they're actually "marching", instead of attending a closed rally, then this is an opportunity for woman to woman outreach by Dems. there won't be many Conservative men there to interfere. in theory.

(27,464 posts)indeed for mothers in general. Cultural power? I wish. I chose to stay at home and raise my kids and never regretted it but there were more times than I can possibly tell you that I wanted to smack people who implied I was at home because I was unable to do anything else, or that my children suffered because of my example. Bullcrap. Two with engineering degrees making six figures and writing poetry and painting, and one heading to college next year and yeah, I take some credit for that. But the idea of being represented by Palin is repugnant to me; no, it's an insult. I want nothing to do with her version of "culture" as it pertains to mothers or anything else.
