Democrats file no confidence resolution against Trump, listing 88 reasons why he is unfit to serve

Source: Independent

Frustrated Democrat politicians in the US House of Representatives have filed an official “no confidence” resolution against President Donald Trump, formally questioning his suitability to occupy the White House.

The resolution, brought by Rep. Steve Cohen has no chance of successfully passing through the Republican-led chamber, but it provides a comprehensive litany of all of the President’s controversial actions since taking office.

It lists 88 reasons why the Democrats behind the resolution believe Mr Trump is not suitable to hold the Presidency and ranges from citing the furore over crowd sizes at Mr Trump’s inauguration, to the way Mr Trump has handled the investigation into Russian interference in the election.

The list also questions many of Mr Trump’s business deals, his regular volleys against what he calls the “fake news” media, and his derogatory verbal attacks on women.

In the future, if Trump is ultimately removed from office for the worst scandal in the history of the presidency, the House GOP silence that (presumably) greets this resolution will be more nails in their elective coffins. It will demonstrate their complicity and implied approval of Trump's actions.

list the number of the constituents in the republican districts of their individual states that will lose healthcare, see foodstamp cutbacks, see bankruptcies, etc

I suspect not a single republican house member knows how many of their constituents they are screwing. Time to take the game at them.

They can schedule to speak under what is called "Special Orders", usually done at the end of the legislative day where they can verbally read their remarks into the record, with the option to "revise and extend" them. This is often done in front of an empty chamber (versus only submitting the written remarks for the record), but CSPAN does record them.

machine using the time taking the message to people telling them the real trouble we are in. Calling town halls every time they are on break, which is every other month with Cryn' Ryan they could let people know how the extreme dangers we have.

is a concept the British understood, but we did not.

Of course we can remove for legal reasons after protracted deliberation,
but one-party scoundrel rule is not something our Founders could comprehend.
They so feared "mob rule" as they called it - rule by the masses of public
opinion - they used all these other methods of divided power to control
base instincts. Little did they know a stolen majority could capture their
prize.

should instill 'no confidence' around the entire world!

No one has ever been more unqualified, incoherent, disinterested, self-serving and mentally incapacitated.

We all knew this before the election. And millions voted for him anyway.

That should be on gun ownership background checks - "Did you vote for that deplorable asshole?" - and stand as proof of mental incompetence and denial of permit!

All of this craziness surrounding Trump will be shrugged off, dismissed by certain people and certain types of people, but it needs to be preserved in our history.

It's good that the Dems have entered this into to archive, so it can be seen and studied by future generations. I'm sure that more reasons will be added to this list. We don't even know all the damage yet.

It's so awesome that the Dems in Congress did this!

The rank partisanship the Rs display now is astonishing. And, believe me, I never had any illusions they were exactly standing on high ground, but I am amazed at just how low they really are.
