Ex-Obama aide hits Ivanka for standing in at G20: Power comes from the people, not birth

An ex-advisor to former President Obama blasted Ivanka Trump on Saturday for briefly taking her fathers place at the table during a G-20 summit session, saying that power was bestowed by the people, not by birth.
Sort of the whole point of America was that governmental authority was bestowed by the people not by birth, Dan Pfeiffer, Obamas former senior advisor on strategy and communications, tweeted.

A photo circulated on Twitter Saturday showing Ivanka Trump sitting at the table next to British Prime Minister Theresa May and Russian President Vladimir Putin in place of her father.
Cabinet officials usually replace the president at sessions when a stand-in is needed. But Ivanka Trump, an official adviser to the president, took his place instead.

(816 posts)We need congress to start investigating this as well. She was not "elected" If a Democratic President had done the same thing Congress would be outrage calling for an investigation at the very least if not impeachment.

But can u imagine Chelsea sitting in for her mother at a G-20 meeting? How not only Republicans would howl, but the MSM as well.

(5,801 posts)in that example but the dump admin is issuing executive orders and attempting to wreck Federal agencies so there are many more instances where they are simply doing the koch agenda even though it's not what the citizenry wants. Also, he's blatantly and shamelessly doing the whole nepotism and grifting off the presidency things.

(32,083 posts)Chelsea Clinton is probably far more qualified to sit in that meeting than is anyone in the Trump administration, including Trump himself. She's a Rhodes Scholar like her dad, and has a PhD in international relations from Oxford. This is actually probably the only time I would not complain if a president let his or her kid sub for them in such circumstances. It's not like Chelsea sole experience in life is in ripping off fashion designers and putting her name on shoddy replicas of their work.

Registered a complaint about Ivanka sitting in on G20 for Trump.
She has not been cleared or voted on by Congress.
I suggest all Americans do the same if they are bothered by a jewelry/shoe designer with no relevant experience representing our country.
The Republicans would be frothing at the mouth if Chelsea Clinton sat at the conference.
At least she has a PhD in International relations from Oxford!

"If Hillary had..." "If Obama had..."--apply to daily outrages committed by the dump mal-admin. The double standard and hypocrisy among pukes is staggering.
