BRIDGEWATER, N.J. A day after defending his use of social media as befitting a modern day president, President Trump appeared to promote violence against CNN in a tweet.
Trump, who is on vacation at his Bedminster golf resort, posted on Twitter an old video clip of him performing in a WWE professional wrestling match, but with a CNN logo superimposed on the head of his opponent. In the clip, Trump is shown slamming the CNN avatar to the ground and pounding him with simulated punches and elbows to the head. Trump added the hastags #FraudNewsCNN and #FNN, for fraud news network.

The video clip apparently had been posted days earlier on Reddit, a popular social media message board. The president's tweet was the latest escalation in his beef with CNN over its coverage of him and his administration.
A White House spokeswoman with the traveling press corps hotel here in Bridgewater, N.J., a few miles from Trump's golf club, declined to address questions about the tweet. Trump has no public events planned for Sunday; his schedule lists phone calls Sunday night with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He is scheduled to return to Washington on Monday evening and participate in an Independence Day event at the White House on Tuesday.

CNN Responds to Trump Tweet: Juvenile Behavior Far Below the Dignity of His Office
by Josh Feldman 10:39 am, July 2nd, 2017
CNN has now responded to President Trumps tweet rather seriously upping the ante in his war against the news network.
Youve probably seen by now that Trump tweeted a fan video of himself literally fighting back against CNN.
The official @CNNPR account responded with this tweet recalling the words of Sarah Huckabee Sanders just days ago:

And then came this full statement from CNN responding to Trumps juvenile behavior:

(38,436 posts)Shutting up is something we learn. There are times it makes sense not to respond. If Trump put up a violent fake clip of him slamming CNN, then he has stepped over the line......AGAIN.... But this is a little worse, him being physically violent to the press in a fake video at this time, not only is stupid beyond belief,.....,
but shows lack of ability to contain oneself, and lack of respect for others.. Respect for others is an obvious characteristic of someone who is supposed to be a "world leader."
So, whatever went on in the past, is not enough. He needs to start up worse than ever. This one will not .."blow over" It is not cute, funny, or cleaver in any way. It is not a joke.
It is immature on a level rarely, if ever, seen by any world leader. It is a very sad reflection of Trump.
............................I feel bad for this country for having such an immature person as a leader...........

(22,651 posts)Twitter should ban those accounts. Everyone on twitter reading those tweets should use the menu and REPORT THEM.
If it was IS terrorists inciting people to lash out at 'targets' those accounts would be banned from Twitter!

We have no Press really. Let 'em get abused like this. Maybe, just maybe (I doubt it) they will wake up.

(964 posts)I seriously doubt that the Trumpenfuhrer has the computer skills to edit this video by himself. If he had a government employee do this, he is violating the law.
He cannot have government employees inciting violence to satisfy his personal vendetta. Considering his maturity level, I wonder, if gets convicted, will he be sent to a Federal penitentiary or Juvenile Hall?

(11 posts)Back when he made that video he was a clown trying to look tough in a simulated sport event that wasn't any where close to reality. Now he is trying to look tough against fake news, another opponent not based on reality. That clown will step in it every step he takes.
