some people don't take this hideous disease seriously. My sister died of complications from it as well. If you don't keep a sharp eye on it, it will destroy your kidneys. Game over.

Animal House. A great movie, and Furst played his role perfectly. "From now on your Delta Chi name is flounder". 'Flounder"?

What a shame.

I read his bio and his parents both died at age 47. Stephen got his weight under control, from a high of 330 down to 175, but the diabetes still took its toll on his kidneys.

He looked completely different the last two seasons of Babylon 5 with the excess weight being gone. He looked much healthier than what he had on prior seasons. I remember reading about how he came back for season 4 and none of the costumes fit him anymore.

He was a large inspiration for me to start my own weight loss efforts.

that he didn't take it seriously. I said "some" don't take it seriously. Obviously he was a Type I diabetic. My sister was a Type II diabetic, insulin dependent, and still didn't take it seriously. Like I said, game over. It's a damned shame for Steve, because he didn't have a choice. My sister did. That's all I meant.

That film was from 1989 and also starred Michael Keaton, Christopher Lloyd and Peter Boyle. I also loved Animal House.

Sad news. He was only 63 which is too young to die.
