Trump cites 2 million dropping Obamacare in urging resistance to Dems

President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning urged people to resist "obstructionist Democrats" after news broke that the number of Americans insured under Obamacare fell by 2 million between Jan. 31 and mid-March, adding that his predecessor's signature legislative achievement was "in a death spiral."

"2 million more people just dropped out of ObamaCare," the president tweeted. "It is in a death spiral. Obstructionist Democrats gave up, have no answer = resist!"

On Monday, Trump spoke of the need to "starve the beast" of Obamacare in order to attract more public support behind the Republican-backed bill to repeal and replace the health care law on the books.

In another critique of Democratic opposition, Trump posited that the minority party in the House and Senate wouldn't support his bill even if it were "the greatest bill in the history of the world on health care."

The real number of enrollees is the number who pony up their premiums!

Hitting a deadline to have the option is always greater than how many do for multiple reasons!

then this would be one reason why the number would drop. Especially notable with him celebrating in the endzone about the unemployment rate.

The ACA was SUPPOSED TO cover the people who were either uninsured or struggling in the individual marketplace, and only represented about 16% of the population before it was passed.

It was put on by AARP and was urging Rob Portman to vote no on Trumpcare. There was a couple sitting with their financial advisor and he started telling them ways that Trumpcare would affect their retirement plans. It was really effective.
