Trump declares he's 'passed more legislation' than any other president besides FDR

President Donald Trump on Monday boasted that he's "passed more legislation" and accomplished more to date than any of his predecessors with the exception of FDR" a declaration that doesn't appear to match with history.
Theres never been a president thats done more in this time, Trump told reporters during a meeting with his cabinet at the White House. Whos passed more legislation, whos done more things than weve done.
However, Harry Truman passed 55 bills within his first 100 days, and according to the White House website, Trump has only signed 48 so far on his 142nd day.
Many of the bills Trump has signed, such as designating buildings and appointing board members to the Smithsonian, do not have a major, direct impact on Americans, and Trump's ambitious legislative agenda on tax reform and infrastructure is largely stalled. The outlook is also uncertain for the Obamacare repeal bill, which passed the House and is now facing a tough road in the Senate.

(9,688 posts)Very scary having someone this incompetent, this emotionally unstable, this uninformed, this small-minded, and this narcissistic and uncaring, and -to repeat myself - so shockingly delusional - with his fingers inches away from instigating Armageddon.

(16,928 posts)Can you imagine, sitting there as a designated public administrator, listening to your supervisor making bold-faced lies?
You KNOW they are lies - you see that they have no substance - and yet you sit there and smile for the cameras and tell your own self that you are serving your country?
What has led us to this stage in this country?
Why are these people SO self-focused that they are willing to allow the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA descend to such depths?
When will this nightmare end?

It really IS a nightmare: both horrible and bizarre, in the way that only nightmares can be.

A couple of seasons ago, I was a guest at a golf outing at Trump's course at Ferry Point in the Bronx, NY. Situated on the upper portion of the East River, the panoramic views of the city from the track are glorious. The course itself is attractive but very gimmicky with lots of tricks and unfairly unseen troubles. Since it was my first time on the course, I played conservatively and scored well enough. However, when I saw what the greens fees were, coupled with the fact that I don't want to give any money to Trump, I determined not to go back.
Of course, it's Trump so there has to be something paying tribute to His Yugeness: on the teeing ground of a par-3, a large bronze plaque is planted to the side stating that in the inaugural round at the course, Trump aced the hole. Do you believe it? I certainly don't. In any event, why would anyone do such a thing?
Trump is so pathetic.
