Sen. Leahy Goes After Sessions on Twitter: 'You Can't Run Forever'

Senator Patrick Leahy, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee, went after Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Twitter this morning.

Sessions has indicated that he will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee this Tuesday, though it’s not clear whether this will be in open or closed session.

However, Sessions is no longer testifying before the appropriations committee, and Leahy isn’t happy about that:

18. I remember when the Senate Appropriations Cmte inflicted punishment

for insults by the Administration. Sessions should NOT be allowed to travel first-class anywhere on official business. Should not be allowed to stay in any 5-star hotel. Should have his reputation fund reduced to $200.00.
