Pence family cat dies: 'You touched a lot of hearts in your little life'

One of the Pence family's beloved pets has passed away, second lady Karen Pence announced on Twitter Saturday.

"Rest in peace Oreo," she tweeted. "You touched a lot of hearts in your little life. Our family will miss you very much."

Pence tweeted a series of photos, including one of Vice President Mike Pence snuggling with the black-and-white feline. In another photo, the Pences and daughter Charlotte are sitting on a doorstep with Oreo, the other family cat Pickles, and the family's pet bunny Marlon Bundo.

8. Well, then. That is the one (only) good thing I can say for the Pences

at lest THEY have pet cats and seemingly do like them.

It has been hard to find anything positive to say about them, but this at least makes them slightly less bizarre and I am sorry for the loss.

I'm glad they seemingly gave the cat a good life and I hope the kitty had a gentle passing.

10. We just had to put our cat down, Bootsy

My mom died 13 years before my dad so we got him a shelter cat, Bootsy.
The cat would wake him up most mornings by biting his feet. Dad would take his pills and Bootsy would get fed. Twice dad fell asleep with the tea kettle burning up and Bootsy woke him up.

Too bad Pence doesn't have the same compassion toward people that has toward animals.
