White House will stop taking questions about Trump, Russia investigation

Source: The Hill

President Trump's administration will cease answering questions from reporters about the investigation into the Trump campaign's alleged ties to Russia, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Wednesday.

In an off-camera press briefing Wednesday, Spicer told reporters that any future questions about the investigation would be addressed by Trump's personal lawyer.

“We are focused on the president’s agenda and going forward all questions on these matters will be referred to outside counsel, Marc Kasowitz," Spicer said Wednesday.

When pushed on what areas would be addressed by Trump's lawyer, Spicer responded "all of it."

CNN has had pundits say several times a day for the last week that the only way for Trump to get the horrible, terrible, stupid agenda moving was for the White House to stop tweeting about the Russian investigations and change the conversation.

Of course, Trump has always been skillful at changing the conversation--but this time I think he's pissed off and living in his own head. I can hear his conversation with himself--How DARE they question me and my methods! I have the smartest mind and I will figure a way out of this. Need to ask my lawyer who I can sue. What lie did I tell about the .....(fill in the blanks)

They won't let information, accusations, and leaks go answered. They'll just be answered by Trump's legal team. That makes sense, since the Trump team is under criminal investigation.

I wonder if this means that Trump's tweets are now strictly controlled.
