Fox News fires The Five host Bob Beckel over racist remark to African-American employee

Fox News fired political pundit Bob Beckel over an allegedly racist comment he made to an African-American colleague off the air.

It was not immediately revealed what Beckel, a co-host on "The Five," said to the employee, but it was described as being "racially insensitive" to the network's human resources team, Variety reported.

"Bob Beckel was terminated today for making an insensitive remark to an African-American employee," Fox News said in a statement to Variety.

The network was informed about the derogatory remark uttered by Beckel, 68, on Tuesday evening, leading to an internal investigation that resulted in his ousting.

But it could also be an excuse to the viewers. Beckel has had issues bad enough to be off work (suspended or medical excuse) in the last couple of years. This sounds like the last straw.

For the reichwingers on other sites who like to read posts here and hold them up as an example of how liberals protect liberals, you'll have to do some hard spinning to get that here. But then, you spin everything so this one should be fairly for you to get your brain deficient comrades to join your chorus.

They love to get these "liberals" that are dopey and luke warm moderates, and surround them with a majority of RWers to drown them out. Its a theater act for Fox viewers to watch the poor libtard get his ass handed to him, even in an unfair fight.

But from what I've been reading on comment sections, he was loathed by Fox viewers even still. As they come to Fox to hear the gospel and nothing else. Not meaning to make light of making derogatory remarks, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was set up or this was blown up in order to have the excuse to fire him.
