Trump Claims Paris Shooting 'Looks Like Another Terrorist Attack'

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published APRIL 20, 2017, 4:30 PM EDT

President Donald Trump on Thursday said that a shooting on France’s Avenue des Champs-Élysées “looks like another terrorist attack,” though few details have emerged yet about what motivated the incident.

“Our condolences from our country to the people of France,” Trump said during a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni. “It looks like another terrorist attack, and what can you say, it just never ends.” Trump called the shooting “a terrible thing and it’s a very very terrible thing that’s going on in the world today.”

“We have to be strong and we have to be vigilant,” he said. “And I’ve been saying it for a long time.”

Paris police said that the attacker and one police officer died during the shooting Thursday afternoon, while another officer was wounded. Few details were immediately available about the shooting, though Reuters reported that it “could have been an attempt at an armed robbery.”

We are now stuck with a President who shoots off his ignorant mouth without knowing the facts.

He is unable to say something that a leader and a mature person would say. Something like: "We send our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones. I am sure that law enforcement in Paris is doing all the can to gather the facts and determined the cause of this tragic event."

Very, very, very, very terrible! And I'VE been saying it for a long time (translation: Aren't I brilliant, I have been predicting this forever. Everyone should have been listening to ME because if they had things like this would never happen!). It's always all about him. Every tragedy is just another opportunity for him to brag about himself and say "I told you so". Never any concern for the victims. Not one ounce of sympathy.

He is such a disgusting piece of shit!
