INDIO, Calif. (KCRA)
A New York man was arrested at the Coachella music festival in Southern California after he was found with more than 100 stolen cellphones, according to Indio police.
During the concert festival on Friday, several people noticed their phones were missing and immediately activated the "Find My Phone" feature on their mobile devices. Some of the victims followed Reinaldo De Jesus Henao, 36, through the venue, and he was quickly detained by security officers at the event, police said.
Law enforcement officers later arrived to arrest Henao and found his backpack contained more than 100 cellphones, investigators said.
Henao was arrested on several charges, including grand theft and possession of stolen property, according to the police department. Several of the phones were returned to the victims that night and the next day. The remaining phones were turned into Lost and Found at the concert site, where owners could claim them.

(26,335 posts)He annoys me with the find my device thingy when I'm ignoring him and on the iPad.
Now I am somehow linked to his car through my Ford mobile so I see when he starts his car or unlocks it. So I pester him with texts."where ya goin'?" He tried to take it off my android phone so I hid it.
Ain't technology grand.

(90,769 posts)The iPhone is something I'm still learning to use, but already it's light years ahead of the Nokia pay as you go stupid phone we've had for about 15 years. Hubby now has it stored in the trunk of his car for emergency use.
Anyway, I think I'll figure out how to get that app and connect my 2 devices.

(6,241 posts)It shows a map of the area, and where that phone is. She can watch as I come home to make sure I get home safely. She knows if I stop at all that something is going wrong, and she can call the cops to where I am. It hasn't happened yet (knock wood), but it's something that we do to watch each other's backs.

(5,103 posts)just log in and go to your account. It shows how to find your device, lock or even erase it.
I just did it and it accurately found it.
You may need a gmail account, but since I have one I don't know.
I also had success with Avast.
