Source: New York Times
The New York Daily News and ProPublica won the Pulitzer Prize for public service on Monday for a series on the New York Police Departments widespread abuse of a decades-old law to force people from their homes and businesses over alleged illegal activity.
The New York Times won three awards for breaking news photography, feature writing and international reporting. Daniel Berehulak won for photographs that provided a haunting portrait of a violent campaign in the Philippines; C.J. Chivers won for a magazine piece on a young veteran of the war in Afghanistan suffering from PTSD; and the Times reporters won for international reporting for a series on Russias surreptitious assertion of power.
Mr. Berehulak won in the feature photography category two years ago for his moving portraits depicting the spread of Ebola in West Africa.
David A. Fahrenthold of The Washington Post won the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting for his work on Mr. Trumps charitable foundation.

[div class"excerpt"]Washington Posts David Fahrenthold wins Pulitzer Prize for dogged reporting of Trumps philanthropy
Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold remembers being struck by Donald Trumps pledge to donate $6 million, including $1 million of his personal funds, to veteran groups during a televised fundraiser before the Iowa caucuses early last year. Did Trump follow through, he wondered? So, weeks after the event, Fahrenthold started asking questions.
For several months, he found, the answer was no, despite assurances to the contrary from Trumps campaign. When Trump finally made the donation in late May the reporter set off on a broader inquiry. In a detailed series of articles, he found that many of Trumps philanthropic claims over the years had been exaggerated, and often werent truly charitable activities at all.
On Monday, Fahrentholds investigative digging was rewarded with the Pulitzer Prize, journalisms most prestigious award. His work documenting the future presidents charitable practices won the award for national reporting.
Fahrentholds Pulitzer-winning package of stories also included his article disclosing that Trump had made crude comments and bragged about groping women during an unaired portion of an interview on Access Hollywood in 2005.

And glad to hear about the awards for the NYTimes, ProPublica and the WA Post, too. They are all well-deserving of their respective awards.
