Schiff says Russia is absolutely 'complicit' in Syrian chemical attack
Source: ABC News
The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee said Russia is absolutely "complicit" in the chemical attack in Syria that killed at least 86 civilians, including many children.
"Absolutely they're complicit," Rep. Adam Schiff of California told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on "This Week" Sunday. "Russian intelligence may not be as good as ours, but it's good enough to know the Syrians had chemical weapons, were using chemical weapons."
Schiff added that Russia is "better positioned to know, in the sense that they have people on the ground in close proximity working in close concert with the regime. I think absolutely they know what the Syrians are doing."
Russia is a key military ally of the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in its fight against rebel factions in the country's civil war.

(28,864 posts)Of course Russia is complicit. That seems to be the new word de jour these days.
And so are 45 and Tillerson for giving Assad the green light to begin with.

(3,847 posts)Adam Schiff is on the short list, but is there a democratic governor that can run for prez and maybe Adam as VP???
And Schiff & other young guns from Congress is what is needed. Theses men & Women are young, energetic, progressive, new fresh faces & better than anything we have as Governors or Senators.

(36,060 posts)I think false flag can be an interpretation made by anyone who thinks they can see through all the players and moves to some "real" plan that others don't see.
I think false flag misnames a situation too complicated to be controlled by a couple of big players. I don't think most people know that any such puppeteers exist or who they are.
False flag is also a label of suspicion and distrust that some event isn't really what it appears to be. So any situation can be that, really.

Russia launched the attack to gin up the polls for its "investment."

(35,317 posts)the state of Russian intelligence well enough to compare it to the US' intelligence on Syria?
Which is something, considering Schiff's concession that the Russians have people on the ground and far less hindrances to access secure sites.
Either groundless bragging or dangerous compromising.

(17,387 posts)...as well as suggest that there is doubt about who had the capability to launch a nerve gas attack on rebels in Syria. Sure you are on the right Board?
