UN says action in Syria must abide by international law

"Immediate action is needed to protect the Syrian people, but it should be "rooted in the principles of the United Nations and international law," UN political affairs chief Jeffrey Feltman says.

"There can be no genuine protection if the parties to the conflict, government and opposition alike, are permitted to act with impunity and if the Syrian government continues to commit human rights violations against its own citizens," he told the UN Security Council Friday.

The UN is holding an emergency meeting on the situation in Syria right now."

1. Well, since the Syrians have apparently been able to launch planes from the air field we struck...

I guess we can call this "no harm, no foul" and go on with the business of business?

We wasted taxpayer money blowing up a few abandoned bunkers and putting small potholes in an already crappy airfield.

This all ends up sort of looking like we threw a brick through the window of a business that was behind on paying the neighborhood protection fee.
