GOP lawmaker stuns MSNBC host with Devin Nunes defense: He answers to the president
Source: Rawstory
Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) defended the chairman of the House Intelligence Committees integrity Thursday on MSNBC by misrepresenting the embattled Republicans constitutional duties.

The Florida Republican then misrepresented the Constitutions separation of powers to justify Nunes briefing President Donald Trump on the surveillance, even though some members of his transition team and possibly the president himself are under FBI investigation for alleged ties to Russia.
You have to keep in mind who he works for, Yoho told MSNBC. He works for the president and answers to the president. MSNBCs Craig Melvin asked Yoho whether the committee chairman actually worked for his constituents, and not the executive branch.
You do both, Yoho said. But when in that capacity, if youve got information, Im okay with what he did.

(17,387 posts)Rep. Ted Yoho knows congressmen work for their constituents, not President Donald Trump, a spokesman clarified Thursday after the Florida Republican misspoke.
Yoho defended embattled House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), who is facing calls from Democrats to recuse himself from the panels investigation into Russias election meddling and possible collusion between Trump associates and Russian officials.
