Trump has not spoken to FBI director about wiretapping claims, Spicer says

Source: ABC Radio

(WASHINGTON) -- White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Tuesday that President Donald Trump has not spoken to FBI Director James Comey in the wake of Trump's unsubstantiated allegations that his phones were wiretapped at the direction of President Obama.

Spicer was later asked if the president still supports Comey. Spicer responded, "I have no reason to believe he doesn't. He has not suggested that to me."

Spicer offered no evidence to support Trump's wiretapping claims and said Trump is looking forward to the results of the congressional investigations.

Congress is compelled to investigate Saturday morning "twump tweets?"

As long as the love fest between Republicans and "that signature hand" holds up, this is our alternative reality.

because Trump knows what they have on him. There's no real point. The FBI director can only be regarded as an enemy. Pure speculation at this point, though.

8. Seems like a big enough deal that he should also make a statement to the Am. people.

This concerns them as well, doesn't it? I would like to see a public statement from the President (not through Twitter, but in real life!). And why not just make it a press conference so the reporters can ask questions that have answers the American people need to know.

Didn't our presidents used to do this when it was a big matter?
