Top GOP Senator: Health Care Proposal 'May Not' Get A Majority Of Votes

Source: Talking Points Memo

By MATT SHUHAM Published MARCH 7, 2017, 11:44 AM EDT

A top Senate Republican said Tuesday that House Republicans’ proposal to replace Obamacare may not be able to get enough votes to reach President Donald Trump’s desk.

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO), who serves as vice chairman of the Senate GOP conference, raised his concerns about the bill in an interview on KBMZ, surfaced by CNN.

Asked what he liked and didn’t like about the proposal, which was introduced in two House committees Monday afternoon, Blunt said that hadn’t “had time to look at it in great depth yet, so we'll see,” but he was concerned about its future.

"What I don't like is it may not be a plan that gets a majority of votes and lets us move on,” he said. “Because we can't stay where we are with the plan we've got now." Blunt hedged that “the nucleus of the plan is clearly there” and both the President and House Republicans have said it’s “negotiable.”

they will pass something, however disastrous though it may be, and lean heavily on their propaganda outlets to falsely claim it a success.

note that they could do this without changing a damn thing except the name. repeal obamacare and replace it with the same thing but call it their own plan. hell, it *always was* a right-wing, market-based, republican think-tank creation in the first place. the true democratic plans were hillarycare and medicare-for-all.

He hasn't looked at it "in depth", which means "at all", but what he's afraid of is that it won't pass?

...The teabaggers have pretty much said they won't vote for any replacement, only total repeal, and the Democrats aren't going to vote for anything they come up with.

as for-profit medicine seeks to maintain profit levels

In the auto industry this phenomenon has been called target-return pricing

we will see more cancer, neurological disease, childhood rare diseases and childhood cancers.

Glyphosate is a known teratogen (causing cell structure changes and severe birth defects). It is being used in increasing quantities as more GE crops are grown.

this is extremely high profile - these bastards have been screaming about Obamacare for seven years - to see their garbage go down in flames would be very satisfying INDEED
