(UK PM) Cameron warns of decade of austerity

Britains austerity programme could last up to a decade five years more than previously expected as the eurozone crisis drags on, prime minister David Cameron said.
The coalition government had hoped to implement all its public spending cuts before the next election in 2015, but in an interview with the Daily Telegraph published on Thursday, Mr Cameron said it was now hard to predict when they would finish.
I dont see a time when difficult spending choices are going to go away, he told the newspaper.

(19,458 posts)I'm so tired of the redistribution of wealth globally, that has plunged so many people into poverty. The money did NOT disappear, it is consolidated into the hands of a few. Sick of the rich leadership telling the 99% they have to tighten their belts, and ignoring the fact that the money IS there, but people (even in the UK and Greece) are amassing fortunes and paying a fraction of what they should.
