Anti-Defamation League: Trump 'Failed To Condemn' Anti-Semitism

The Anti-Defamation League criticized President Donald Trump for not condemning anti-Semitism when asked about it by an Israeli reporter Wednesday.

During a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump was asked about a “sharp rise” in anti-Semitic incidents in the U.S. since his election. An Israeli reporter asked Trump what he would say to Jews “who believe and feel that your administration is playing with xenophobia and maybe racist tones.”

Instead of answering, Trump spoke about his margin of victory in the 2016 election and mentioned that his daughter and son-in-law were Jewish. Trump also said his administration would do “everything within our power to stop long-simmering racism and every other that’s going on.”

The Anti-Defamation League, which took a hard line against Trump during the campaign, reacted disapprovingly:
