Obama video mocks Romney explanation of Bain timeline

Source: The Hill

President Obama's reelection team took aim Wednesday at Mitt Romney's explanation of this tenure at Bain Capital in a new Web video.

The video features people on the street reading an interview verbatim that Romney gave to CBS News last Friday to explain his timeline at the private-equity firm.

#!

"I was the owner of an entity which was a management entity. That entity was one which I had ownership of until the time of the retirement program was put in place. But I had no responsibility whatsoever after February of '99 for the management or ownership - management, rather, of Bain Capital," read various people in the video, repeating the CBS transcript.

"That sounds very suspicious," says one woman in the video after reading Romney's interview response. "That's kind of concerning," says another woman.

What a great way to start my day.

I'd call it an attack ad, and technically it is. But, there's no scary music in the background. There's no stern voice telling me what to think. There's no distortion. I'd call it more of a "mock ad".

Nothing is going to change some people's minds.

You cannot impact or change all of the people all of the time.

The goal is not to attempt the impossible. The goal is to persuade any people who are on the fence to get off the fence and on your side, rally the base, demoralize the opposition, and throw your opponent off balance. This ad does all of those things.

Romney hates being pranked. This is like the 3rd prank in less than 3 weeks. Romney's head will be exploding soon.

To hear others try to read Robme's rambling response makes it even more obvious he's lying. I wonder if he knows what he said did not make much sense.

It should also have a couple of senior citizens reading this excuse. Obama has women, African Americans and youth generally on his side he needs to start trying to appeal to seniors if only to weaken Romneys advantage with this voting block.

Actually, the gender gap is as much a marriage gap. Maybe an ad with an apparent middle-of-the-road husband and wife could be added.

"Obama has women, African Americans and youth generally on his side..."

BUT, their (the youth vote) enthusiasm level has dropped since 2008, and he has GOT to get them to the polls. From what I understand, about the only group that Obama doesn't have on his side is older, white men. Big surprise, huh? But his base has got to get out of their houses and vote on election day.

It could easily be my age...anyone under 30 looks like a kid to me, but most of the people in this ad look as if they are in that "2008 was my first vote" age group. If this helps, go for it.

saw an interview with some Obama supporters in Pittsburgh when Mittens came by for his $$$ at the Duquesne Club (exclusive, VERY big $$$ private club).
The last supporter said that when he was confronted by some Mittens supporters they kept chanting, "Show me the birth certificate!"

Wow, can they debate, or what?

We know so many people our age who KNOW about the republicon budget and are still on the fence about someone a little "different" in the White House. Great ad by the Obama Truth Team! Please send them a couple of bucks.
