Conway apologized to Trump for promoting Ivanka brand: report

Source: The Hill

White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway apologized to President Trump for promoting Ivanka Trump’s clothing line during a TV interview, CNN reported Friday.

Trump reportedly reaffirmed his support for the senior aide, backing up Conway’s claim that the president was behind her “100 percent.” A source also told CNN that Trump “hated” the word “counseled” to describe how the White House handled Conway after her comments.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said during his daily briefing Thursday that Conway had been “counseled” in the wake of her remarks about Ivanka Trump’s brand. He didn’t not offer any details about the nature of the discussion or who spoke with Conway.

Conway tweeted early Friday that "POTUS supports me, and millions of Americans support him & his agenda."

Well that is 100% verifiable and the lamest thing I've ever hear. Ugh

Never has a positive thing to say about Sphincter, but boy do we hear things about how he doesn't like Spicer. And it's all nonsense. 'Counseled' was a fine term to use and having Sphincter played by a woman just hurts Trump's tiny soul.

they had meetings 2-3 times a year to go over ethics and what constitutes a violation of ethics laws. Since Conjob only started working there a few weeks ago, it is inconceivable that she simply "forgot" when she blurted out the "free commercial" for Ivanka's clothing, according to Wallace. In my opinion, she is so used to saying whatever pops into her haystack head, she just said what she thought was amusing AND that would impress her boss. Ethics was NEVER part of the equation because...well, it never is with that bunch of thugs.

You can't tell me with a straight face that in the 3 month transition period nobody ever bothered to go over ethics and what can and can't be considered unethical.

Sorry Ms. Wallace, I ain't buying.

for people working in the White House. That was why she said there was no way Conway forgot about it since there had to have been a recent briefing on ethics. In other words, what Conway did was deliberate. Wallace was not defending Conway and in fact, seemed rather appalled at what Conway did.

that working to elect that woman was a huge mistake. I think she learned the hard way the truth about Caribou Barbie and lived to regret it. Being as close to Palin as she was, she probably learned things about that hag that changed how she felt about helping her. Not that Palin was willing to take any instructions, much like tRump refuses to take guidance since he seems to think he already knows EVERYTHING.

Not claiming she is a model of ethical behavior, just saying I think she knows being a part of that campaign was not a good thing and that she understands how ethics is discussed in the White House...whether you choose to follow the directions or not.

because tRump wanted her to do exactly what she did. No counseling, no apology, no nothing. Just this stupid statement to put critics off the subject. Unfortunately no amount of cajoling to buy Ivanka's crap will help. That line of income is done for, thanks to the hubris of her father, who thought he could scam the presidency. With any luck, a lot of other lines of income will dry up as well. Karma's a bitch.

Why would Drumpf of all people, based on what we know of him, even want an apology for that?

Lets play along...so presumedly it would be because President Dumba would be so appalled that a senior staff member promoted his daughters line of products because, you know, its a conflict of interest and he doesn't even want the appearance of that in his administration. How can he even think anyone would swallow that?
