Nordstrom stock gains over 4 percent after Trump tweet

Source: The Hill

Nordstrom's stock went up by more than 4 percent Wednesday after President Trump fired off a tweet criticizing it for discontinuing Ivanka Trump's brands of clothing and other merchandise.

Nordstrom’s stock dipped -0.5 percent immediately after Trump’s morning tweet calling it “terrible” for treating his daughter, Ivanka, “so unfairly.”

However, the stock fully recovered within four minutes, and closed out the day up 4.1 percent, MarketWatch reported.

Our friends at the SEC could help...they track who's buying what, right? Look for very large short positions being covered right after a Trump tweet, then see how many of those people have Trump ties. Stock manipulation is a felony with very stiff penalties.

because of Trump's tweet - no explanation or anything else.

I seldom listen to them anymore, but sometimes it is that or Hannity. (I live in a shit radio area.)

We have an internet radio but there are spots in my house that it just doesn't quite reach.
So I am left to use terrestrial radio in those spots. In the midwest it is a radio wasteland, so NPR is the best we can do.

I actually have some friends who are trying to get a community radio station going.
KICI are the call letters. Hoping to start this summer.

I may set KSER on my internet radio. Snohomish county is Washington, is it not?

He's like a particularly obnoxious child, always getting under your feet, and you just want to tell him to please shut up and go away.

Hell, he lost the election by 3 MILLION votes. The election was tainted by Russian hacks, wikileaks, questionable statements by the FBI director, voter suppression, and iffy vote counting in key swing states. I refuse to claim him.

Climate change-denying freeloaders the lot of them - not a single one who would think of putting country before self-interest.

It must be some sort of disease that's spreads among politicians.

But Trump is a whole new thing - I keep waiting to hear "okay, folks, the joke's over, and now let's get ourselves a real President".

Rest assured, Little Donald is getting his bigly over here.

The 9th Circuit Court (where I marched in protest over previous legislation) just shot down his travel ban. He's already Tweeting his tantrum in ALL CAPS.

This is a case of Opposite Day, Groundhog Day-style.

Malcolm deserves all he gets, he's insufferably arrogant.

But it was dreadfully ignorant behaviour towards an old ally, and that got under our skin a bit.

The thing with Trump is that he doesn't seem to learn, does he? No matter how many times things blow up in his face, he still thinks he was elected Supreme Ruler.
