Vladimir Putin accuses Ukraine of stoking violence to win support from Donald Trump
Source: Telegraph
Vladimir Putin has accused the Ukrainian government of stoking violence the countrys war torn east in a bid to win support from Donald Trump and draw the US into the conflict there.
Speaking in Budapest, Mr Putin said Petro Poroshenko, the president of Ukraine, may also have ordered an escalation in fighting partly because he hoped to attract financial support from Europe and the United States.
The Ukrainian leadership needs money. They can only get money from the US, EU and financial institutions if they present themselves as victims, Mr Putin said on Thursday.
Renewed fighting erupted in east Ukraine over the weekend, when both Ukraine and Russian-backed separatists accused one another of launching offensives near the industrial town of Avdiivka.

So that's Putin's cue to his puppet, creating a false narrative.
What's Donald's line in response? Something like "Ukraine should know that I won't reward this behavior by offering US support"?

Just before Trump took office, NATO deployed forces in Poland to deter Russia. Poland's defense minister declared the move meant that "Yalta is over."
But within a week Trump was the new president.
The fear of a Yalta 2.0 is so palpable that Poland's Foreign Minister traveled to Washington before the inauguration and tried to reassure his people, telling them he spoke with Trump advisors and -- "there will not be a new Yalta."
Here we go!!!!!! RESIST!!!!!!!

(9,688 posts)it's so easy to imagine how they must feel, that I feel their fear, viscerally, myself. And I shiver thinking about the even greater vulnerability of the Baltic countries.
My fear is further magnified by the corruption and utter incompetence of our new administration. As a former assistant secretary of state in the Obama administration put it, sarcastically:

So scary not to be able to trust my own government to protect our national security.

Like many people, I have this persistent feeling that I'm in a bad movie. One that, as you said, where we are biting our nails about the ending.
These people have NO business in the White House.
Even in 13 days, they've already done incalculable damage to our security and to our reputation.

When Americans elected Donald Trump president, they unleashed a political earthquake whose magnitude the entire world is urgently trying to gauge. The list of concerns is far reaching, but for many, the most pressing is whether Trump will keep the United States as an advocate and defender of democracy, freedom, and self-determination. The question comes down to whether Trump is about to carry out a grand betrayal, known to many by the shorthand "Yalta 2.0."

(23,147 posts)Putin was waiting for the all clear from Drumpf the other day and of course traitorous orange assface said OK, take them over and the bombing started almost immediately. This is why Drumpf has all the recording equipment turned off, no one could know that he's colluding with Russia to invade a sovereign country. Of course he's making up lies and trying to blame it on them, that's exactly what dictators do.
