Berlin mayor to Trump: 'Dont build this wall'

The mayor of Berlin says President Trump should scrap his plan for a wall along America’s southern border with Mexico.
“[Our city] cannot look on without comment when a country plans to build a new wall,” Michael Mueller said in a statement Friday, according to AFP.
“We Berliners know best how much suffering was caused by the division of an entire continent with barbed wire and concrete,” he added, referencing the Cold War’s “Iron Curtain” that divided Germany from 1961-1989. "[Do] not go down this wrong path of isolation and exclusion.”
Reagan urged Gorbachev to “tear down this wall,” a dare that ultimately led to the fall of the Berlin Wall separating capitalist Western Europe from its communist, Eastern counterpart.
