CNN fires back at Trump on inauguration ratings winner
Source: The Hill
CNN late Wednesday fired back late Tuesday at President Trump, who said more people tuned in to watch his inauguration on Fox News than "FAKE NEWS" CNN.
According to Nielsen cumulative numbers, 34 million people watched CNNs inauguration day coverage on television. 34 million watched Fox News, read the message tweeted from CNN Communications. There were an additional 16.9 million live video starts on CNN Digital platforms. Those are the facts.

The response followed a tweet from the president praising Fox News for being number one in inauguration ratings.

(14,920 posts)according to one Trump surrogate, as if that were a bad thing and not something delicious to look forward to. That's something else we'll have to wait 4 years for, along with rational governance, and as Superman would put it, "truth, justice, and the American Way"! Dang, why did you have to go and make me hungry for a taco?

(101,361 posts)Since the CNN viewers have not yet taken an oath of Patriotic Devotion to the Maximum Leader, their figures are decreased. And then awarded to the Fox viewers anyway. He's sure something like that is in the constitution. He has the best copy.

(49,036 posts)1) It needles tRump and makes him not enjoy the Presidency. Thus he is more likely to resign and more likely sooner.
Trump wants the adulation of the masses, not the responsibility of governing intelligently and effectively which requires real work to study and get educated.
2) It reminds people that tRump is all about his own ego and not the country.
3) It reminds people that RepubliCons and Trump are not factually rooted.
But ...
You are absolutely right, it is distracting and must not divert Democrats and liberals and progressives from the Supreme Court nomination, gerrymandering & voter suppression, environment and so many other issues.

(17,483 posts)I feel that the signal to noise ratio has been rather low here lately and that troubles me.
By linking to stories that call him a liar or even just call him wrong, we are emboldening the media, which is what really gets his goat.
Dammit, I've stepped on that damned two headed snake again!

On Tuesday he had the Union Leaders in his office & announced his plan for a huge infrastructure bill & how many jobs it will create?? This is what BHO had tried to do for eight years , & the R's refused to cooperate !! Well guess what? they will not provide any money for trump's infrastructure plan, but they will provide tax breaks for billionaires that don't need them!!!!

(14,176 posts)Probably half are Russian. Did you ever wonder why so many posts use bad grammar. Its so easy to blame that on dumb-ass Red State American born 'morans' who can't read and write properly. But I suspect the reason for a lot of those grammar and spelling mistakes are because they come from Russians who are at least at the same level as those morans.
Why is it that there are so many pro Trump commentators on every story published not only on right wing sites, but on more non partisan main stream papers/sites like The Hill? I mean less than half the population voted for him, but on many if not all of these stories on mainsteam sites the comments are 90% pro Trump and Hillary bashers.
