Schumer, Cardin to introduce legislation on Russia sanctions

Source: The Hill

Senate Minority Leader Chalres Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Sunday said he has bipartisan support for a bill that would require President Donald Trump to go through Congress before lifting any sanctions on Russia.

Schumer told ABC’s “This Week” that Republican Sens. John McCain (Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.) both support the legislation, which the minority leader plans to introduce this week with Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.).

McCain and Graham, who have both been critical of Russian President Vladimir Putin, have expressed concern over Trump suggesting he is open to warmer relations with the Kremlin.

“And for us to repeal sanctions, given what Russia has done in Ukraine and threatened the Baltics and, now, they have clearly tried to intervene in our election — whether it had an effect or not ... that’s a danger that we have never faced to this extent in American history,” Schumer said.

But Trump was all set to reward Russia with oil development deals to fill the pockets of Putin/Trump's backers?

This is how you frame it.

However, we still need an investigation of the Hacking Scandal, but we all know it will never happen.

Decades of the Red Scare from these GOPers and then they buddy up to the worst leader they've had since Stalin.

If we got their back - which they saw when they looked out the window - the Democrats just got their backbone and spine handed to them!

This is how it works until we have his resignation (he won't stick around to get "fired&quot or 2018 elections!

Otherwise, foreign countries will have no reason not to interfere with impunity in order to get the US to elect candidates with desired policies. Worse, candidates might cater their platforms toward certain foreign powers with the expectation that outlets like RT will issue propaganda that is supportive.

I am REALLY hopeful for 2018, then impeachment or arrest for treason.
