Top Aide Says Trump Will Hold Press Conference On Jan. 11

Source: talkingpointsmemo

Top Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said Monday night that she believed the President-elect would hold a press conference on Jan. 11.

“I believe it was rescheduled for Jan. 11, originally, and if the lawyers and the compliance officers feel like we're ready, then we'll stick to that date. It's really up to them,” Conway told Anderson Cooper on Monday, as quoted by CNNMoney. “But I know that I spoke to the president-elect today about press conference and I know that's the current plan. So that’s next week.”

Trump canceled last month what he had billed on Twitter as a “news conference” on what he planned to do with his family business, which was scheduled for Dec. 15. At the time, unnamed transition officials told Bloomberg that Trump hadn’t had time to address his business connections because he had been focused on filling his Cabinet.

Trump's last formal press conference took place on July 27, 160 days ago.

Remember; For foreign diplomats, Trump hotel is place to be

About 100 foreign diplomats, from Brazil to Turkey, gathered at the Trump International Hotel this week to sip Trump-branded champagne, dine on sliders and hear a sales pitch about the U.S. president-elect’s newest hotel.

The event for the diplomatic community, held one week after the election, was in the Lincoln Library, a junior ballroom with 16-foot ceilings and velvet drapes that is also available for rent.

Some attendees won raffle prizes — among them overnight stays at other Trump properties around the world — allowing them to become better acquainted with the business holdings of the new commander in chief.

“The place was packed,” said Lynn Van Fleit, founder of the nonprofit Diplomacy Matters Institute, which organizes programs for foreign diplomats and government officials. She said much of the discussion among Washington-based diplomats is over “how are we going to build ties with the new administration.”

And it will be full of lies, conjecture, innuendo, false claims and mindless babble. I'd rather listen to feral cats fucking.

I remember how Trump barraged Hillary Clinton because she hadn't held a press conference in X amount of days. He is guilty of everything he accused her of and more 100 fold.

He will then proceed to list the accomplishments of his presidency (all the more astounding because, well, he is not actually the President yet). He will then start hawking his properties around the world and his beautiful family and make some digs at mega-corporations that he feels have maligned him personally. Then he will leave with a smile...and return to Twitter where he will review his first press conference as " the best, most thorough, and honest ever".

Seriously, I am eternally grateful for my remote control. Yeah, yeah, I could disconnect my TV, but I don't want to. I just want to be able to never, ever, ever, ever see tRump's face or listen to his voice again. Do appreciate his "Tweets" posted here on DU, so keep 'em coming!

Peace.

in Chicago, so expect Drumpf to get some kind of last word.... assuming he doesn't cancel it again or can stand long enough to read the remarks from the teleprompter and then exit without answering any questions.
