Feds: Cudahy (Calif.) officials threw away ballots, manipulated two elections

Source: Los Angeles Times

Cudahy officials at the city's highest levels tampered with and manipulated the results of at least two city elections, according to federal documents released Thursday.

... Details of the election fraud were spelled out by Angel Perales, the city's former interim city manager and code enforcement director. Perales and former mayor David Silva have agreed to plead guilty to bribery and extortion.

The documents show that a city official identified only as G.P. asked Perales and others to make non-residents register to vote in elections. They used an address that belonged to a Cudahy city employee. In exchange, that employee was rewarded with promotions and other favorable treatment, the documents say.

... Perales said that when absentee ballots were delivered to City Hall, he and G.P. determined through "trial and error" the best way to open the sealed envelopes without defacing them. "Routinely and systematically," they opened the ballots. If they contained votes in favor of incumbents, they were resealed and counted. Ballots for non-incumbents were discarded.

This need to go national. Tampering with any American Election Result should be a felony and a minimum of 10 years in jail.

Therefore, and since it's California, odds are it's a Democrat.

We may elect Democratic senators, but except for Grey Davis and Jerry Brown, we've had Republican Governors and pretty much a slight majority Republican State House for the past 30 years.
Looking at the Wiki on it, it's located just south of the Long Beach Area. Most of the surrounding district is Democratic, but for the city itself, it has a reputation for the highest number of dropouts at 9th grade and doesn't have a very stable demographics - lots of immigrants who don't seem to stay there for lon. Used to be home of several large manufacturing plants (Bethlehem Steel, GM, Chrysler, Firestone) up through the 1980's, but now the only major employer is a K-mart regional hub and warehouse. A depressed area that is rife for corruption.

If it was located about 20 miles south and 3 or 4 miles east, it would probably be just as corrupt, but staunchly Republican.

For the newbies, Jive F. Turkey, Sr. is one of the voter registrations faked by the Freepers, then cited by fake Freeper voter fraud activists before hearings by felonious Freeper Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH, Prisoner No. 28882-016) in the ACVR's OHIO Report.

If those non-residents had been required to show state issued picture ID cards when they went to the polls to vote, then they would have been caught and all this wouldn't have happened. Right?

Oh, wait. They voted absentee so they didn't have to show ID.

Well, the dummy mayor and city manager just need to get some of those new-fangled electronic voting machines and have the manufacturer just rig them for the appropriate candidate.
